The following is a message from League secretary Ken Tucker regarding the re-structuring of the Macwhirter Welsh League next season:
The league management committee met on the 4th June 2010 to determine Promotion and Relegation this season in accordance with the FAW Strategic Plan.
In the previous Annual General Meeting and Extraordinary General Meeting all Clubs had been advised there would be a maximum of 16 Clubs allowed in each Division commencing 2010-2011.
With Maesteg Park AFC having withdrawn from the League and Caerau AFC from the South Wales Amateur League and Treown Stars from the Gwent County League being promoted, it will mean, unfortunately, 7 Clubs being relegated from our Third Division.
These Clubs will be contacted by their Area Association Secretaries to advise on the League they will play in during season 2010-2011.
On behalf of the League Management Committee I wish all these Clubs every success and a speedy return.
I attach a copy showing the relegated Clubs and the Divisions the Members Clubs will participate in during season 2010-2011.
This information will be included for ratification at the forth coming Annual General Meeting on 26th June 2010.
