Following last night’s committee meeting, the Bluebirds are pleased to announce that Adam Bishop will, for the forth coming season, take over the reigns as 1st team manager.
Co-manager’s, Adrian Howells and Steve Edwards, took the decision to step aside to safe guard the future of the club. With Adam about to start his UEFA B Licence coaching badge and Steve’s unable to fully commit this season, it was seen as the perfect time to blood Adam to the vigours of Welsh League management.
Howey has also decided to step aside and will now put his full efforts into his role as chairman of the club.
Of course, the club, and particularly the 1st team players, would like to thank Steve and Howey for the past seven seasons, which has seen the Club go from Gwent County Division Two to the Macwhirter Welsh League Division Two, picking up a four cup trophies along the way.
Adam will have a tough act to follow but we are all confident that he will be able to rise to the task. A meeting will be arranged between Adam and the first team squad at some point next week to have a bit of a discussion about this week’s changes.
